Favorite Leotards - World Championship 2015

The leotards I loved the most this year at Stuttgart were those of the Italian Bertolini and the Spanish prima Rodriguez.  I like this orange, gold, and black, though the combination is not for everyone:

I would wear this leo Bertolini showed with clubs, but where would I go? :-)

As usual, it seemed like Nazarenkova just looked gorgeous in anything, but there is black and blue for the rest of us, and then there is Nazarenkova's black and blue:

Also, the Japanese girls had some truly elegant ones, like this:

Then, there is Victoria Mazur, who is so beautiful, even without glitter:

Finally, from two of my favorite gymnasts: Varvara and Salome. I loved the leotards but not the choice of ribbon to go with them:

Gorgeous Mamun Keeps Making Mistakes...

...but I still like her, especially her jumps!

I think it is difficult to observe how a formidable competitor, such as Yana Kudryavtseva, keeps improving. I think Rita Mamun gets nervous at competitions now because she knows that, even if she does not make mistakes, Yana is still very likely to get a higher score. If we want to outplay Yana, Rita and her coach Amina Zaripova have to somehow outsmart her. Performing in a stable and consistent manner will not be enough. They need to find something Yana doesn't have and show case it.

Would you agree?

Also, how many of the fans like this leopard print? I have developped conflicting emotions about this choice of print. I used to like it on Ulyana Trofimova but I am not sure it is such a great match for Rita.

Anyway, thanks to my dear and wonderful friend Dimo Dimov, I got hold of these absolutely stunning pictures. Enjoy:

Queens in Kazan, or Summer Universiade 2013

This is a very pretty leotard for Ganna Rizatdinova!
Too bad she hardly ever lets go of the clubs in this routine
Neta Rivkin, on the other hand, held tightly in all routines and beat Staniouta!
That 18 score for Ganna has yet to come. This leo is not a favorite, though.
I like this gymnast more and more every day. Varvara from Greece!
Here she is, with a smile of a queen and the qualities of a Top 8 gymnast!
Remember the cow print leo of Caroline Weber? Leave it to Austria to "delight" us with flowers and ribbons...
Rita Mamun, the 2013 Summer Universiade champions sparkles with grace, though. I like this girl so much! I love seeing her win.
Silviya Miteva, now Mrs. Miteva-Yaneva, didn't make the clubs final but tried to dance to Latin music in red. Talk about cliche.
From now on this gymnast is the only one in the world allowed to wear pink and yellow!
She is rocking it and ribboning it!
If you have no clubs technique, you can still "rock" a chicken dance with the clubs under your arms. Many do.
Deng from China doesn't need funky dance moves to delight us with her elegance. Even as she is waiting patiently for her score. Someone tell her it's OK to move while waiting! ;-)
And, finally, Ganna is clapping. We need to see that more, and we need more smiles.
